Our story
The Machines With Vision team has considerable experience in technology start-ups and stand-out technical knowledge.
Machines With Vision was founded in 2016 by Anthony Ashbrook, Tim Lukins and Jan Wessnitzer, with PhDs in robotics and vision; and Matt Farrugia, who as well as being our first investor, brings valuable commercial expertise. Anthony has over 20 years’ experience in computer vision and has been a founding member of four start-ups.
Our Management team is supported by Investors, Directors and an Advisory Board that has a wealth of experience in building and growing successful start-ups particularly in our target sectors.
The core team, based in Edinburgh, UK, is focussed on delivering commercially proven technology and ambitious company growth over the near and long term.

In March 2022, we secured a £2.6m investment led by Par Equity. Old College Capital, Gareth Williams and Olaf Hesse also participated in the round.
